2017 Honda Civic Type R: See It In Action!
The world got their first view of the latest Honda Civic Type R during the recent Geneva Motor Show. And now, it looks like the 2017 Type R has just been caught on camera while doings its round in California!
This video popped up over on a Reddit thread and it clearly shows the Type R sitting in a parking lot before strutting its stuff, leaving behind some sweet exhaust sound for us to feast our ears on.
The 2017 Honda Civic Type R is said to go on sale in the US this spring and the automaker claims that this model’s body is more stronger compared to the Civic hatchback that it is based on.
The Type R, first to be available stateside, will be coming with a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine capable of producing 306 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque.
Power will be sent to the vehicle’s front wheels and Honda has stressed that it will only be offering a six-speed manual transmission in its Type R – sorry, self-shifter and CVT-lovers!
The 2017 Type R will be featuring a 7.0-inch touchscreen display, navigation, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility along with a 12-speaker audio system that works with SiriusXM, HD Radio and Pandora.
Many folks have taken to Reddit to pour out their love of the model’s design. Some love the way the rear looks as it gives off an aggressive stormtrooper kind of look while others feel that this 2017 refresh looks way better than any of the Civic designs of the past years.
Well, is the 2017 Honda Civic Type R holding a top spot on your wishlist?
