The 2018 BMW X7 was recently spotted making its rounds under heavy camouflage and from the looks of it, it sure is bigger and bolder.

The latest BMW X7, expected to rival models like the Bentley Bentayga and Range Rover models, is build on BMW’s new cluster architecture, CLAR. This new modular platform incorporates lightweight elements and it underpins both the 7 Series and the new 5 Series.

Don’t expect this latest model to be just another upgrade of the X5 as it would most likely be more exclusive looking and may even feature a variety of engine options such as a V12 engine, according to CarBuzz, in order to properly rival the Range Rover models.

The head of marketing and sales of BMW, Ian Robertson, revealed to Autocar that the 2018 X7 would “have its pick from the entire BMW range.” This offer some suggestion of the V12 as the M760LixDrive, fitted with a V12, is in that range.

Judging from the spy shots, expect to see the 2018 BMW X7 offering spacious interior that could accommodate up to seven comfortable as well as a huge cargo space, on top of its more pronounced luxurious look.
