Dodge has already announced that it will be lifting the veils off its all-new 2018 Challenger SRT Demon at the New York Auto Show this year. This demonic beast is said to be so powerful that it could even murder the Hellcat.
The company hasn’t revealed all the details but it seems like an almost guarantee that this new model will be supplanting the 707hp Hellcat as the new most powerful model. That said, it will not e doing this by simply weighing less with more power.
Many reports have stated that the upcoming Dodge Demon may be coming with a performance-tuned variant of the Challenger GT’s all-wheel drive setup. If this ends up being true, Ford’s latest Shelby GT500 will have to compete against this completely different machine for the muscle car supremacy.
Dodge’s Tim Kuniskis disclosed that the Challenger Demon is truly a one-of-a-kind model. “Most cars attempt to be everything to everybody. Then there are the rare few that revel in a single objective, rendering them totally irresistible to a subculture.”
“The Dodge Challenger SRT Demon is conceived, designed and engineered for a subculture of enthusiasts who know that a tenth is a car and a half second is your reputation,” added Kuniskis.
Well, at this point, it’s really hard to fight the fact that the 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon will be floating up to the top of the potent list.
