2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon: Not Potent Enough?
The highly anticipated Demon is finally here and Dodge has proven that it’s latest creation is a machine from hell!
The automaker lifted the veil off the 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon during the New York Auto Show after 14 weeks of teasing. The Demon is said to be so fast that it is officially banned by NHRA.
The 2018 Dodge Demon is equipped with a supercharged 6.2L HEMI V8 mill that is capable of churning out monstrous 840 horsepower and 770 lb-ft of torque.
That’s not all – the Demon has a 1.8 G which is the highest G-force for a production car, as claimed by Dodge. The model is also the first-ever production car to be able to do a wheelie measuring at 2.92 feet and this has been certified by the Guinness World Records.
This car proves its demonic capabilities by hitting 0 to 60mph in merely 2.3 seconds and it can complete a quarter-mile in 9.6 seconds!
These are really impressive specs that makes the 2018 Dodge Demon look so potent that even its Hellcat sibling can’t stand a chance against it. This is definitely a force to be reckon with.
However, it looks like some folks aren’t completely pleased with the Demon. A couple of days prior to the Demon’s official debut, the rumor mill was busy churning out news that the car may be coming with over 1,000 horsepower.
