Auto junkies are clearly enthusiastic about the arrival of Dodge’s newest hellish ride. But, let’s be honest, anyone would be excited after hearing that the Challenger SRT Demon will be even better than the Hellcat.
Based on the teaser videos, the 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon is expected to weight about 200lbs less than the Hellcat and it will be employing bigger wheels alongside better suspension, beefier brakes and there is even talks on a rear-seat delete option too.
This beast will definitely be able dominate a 0-60mph and quarter mile but how will it fare up against the Ford’s latest Mustang GT500 and the Corvette ZR1?
Mustang Steps Up To the Plate
The all-new Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 is reported to be fitted with the automaker’s magnetorheological dampers, similar to the ones in the Shelby GT350 and GT350R, as well as dual-mode sports exhaust.
Word out of the rumor mill is that this new Mustang could be coming with a set of twin-turbocharged V8 engine paired to Ford’s latest 10-speed automatic transmission.
Chevy Joins the Party
Well, Chevy isn’t about to miss out on this potent head-to-head. It’s all-new Corvette ZR1 is slated to be equipped with a supercharged V8 mill producing about 700 horsepower.
This powerful machine will be more competitive than any other Corvette prior to this. The fact that the Dodge Viper is out of the way, it seems plausible that the ZR1 could rise up to become the most extreme front-engine production car ever.
The rivalry has just been ignited and we’re excited to wait for the official figures to see who will be the new top dog.
