The 2018 Ford Fiesta ST made its official debut during the Geneva Motor Show. Although the model doesn’t look very different visually, the 2018 refresh included some pretty huge upgrades under the model’s hood!
The Fiesta now comes with a new engine configuration which features a 1.5-liter three-cylinder turbo. This may sound like a step back but Ford is standing firm with its claims that the model will be able to produce more power and torque compared to its previous 1.6-liter four-cylinder turbo.
This new engine is said to be capable of churning out up to 197 horsepower which marks a 17 horsepower increase from its previous model. Meanwhile, its previous torque output of 177 lb-ft is now increased to 213 lb-ft of torque.
The 2018 Fiesta ST will not be able to hit a 62mph in 6.7 seconds – a two-tenths of a second quicker than the last generation model. This model is expected to be coming with a top speed of about 140 mph.
There are definitely impressive improvements on the Fiesta but it looks like some fans can’t seem to stand how the interior looks.
A survey through Reddit threads reveal that some folks simply hate how the infotainment is placed in the model. Although this seems to be the current trend among some automakers, buyers feel that it looks like a tablet just sitting on the dash.
Well, will this center dash display ruin the 2018 Ford Fiesta ST for you?
