Hyundai has just dropped a new teaser image along with a couple of exciting details on its upcoming Kona small crossover which will be making its debut come summer this year.
According to the automaker, the subcompact Kona will be boasting a “progressive appearance” inline with the company’s new design concept.
Although the teaser image still leaves plenty to the imagination, the automaker claims that the model will come with a cascading grille with distinct lighting units – pretty much similar to the Jeep Cherokee.
The company states that the LED daytime running lights will be placed above the LED headlights which will “deliver a confident, progressive appearance with sleek and sharp shapes.”
Aside that, the crossover will have an elevated seating position along with an optional all-wheel drive system. Buyers can expect to be getting the best-in-class interior space as well as an array of mills derived from the i30.
We still have a couple of months to go before we can hear more details on the Kona but Hyundai has already said that this crossover is an “important milestone in Hyundai Motor’s journey to become the leading Asian automotive brand in Europe by 2021.”
