If you haven’t already heard, Jaguar is most definitely equipping its F-Type with a supercharged 2.0-liter turbo four-cylinder mill.

This gasoline-fueled Ingenium engine is capable of churning out 296 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque. That’s not all – this latest model is also the lightest F-Type coupe as it weighs 3,360 pounds after a 95 pound weight loss while the V6 coupe weighs at 3,455 pounds.

For the US, there is only one powertrain arrangement for the 2.0L turbo mill model which is a rear-wheel drive mated to an eight-speed automatic tranny. However, buyers will have a choice from either a coupe or convertible body style.

Jaguar claims that this model will be able to complete a 0 to 60mph in about 5.4 seconds. That said, the model has yet to receive its EPA ratings.

Aside that, there is also the 400 Sport version that will be coming alongside the 2.0T. This will be a limited edition model employing a supercharged V6 churning out 400 horsepower – sans a manual setup.
