Jeep’s head, Mike Manley, has finally confirmed that the 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk will make its official debut at the New York Auto Show as well as the Easter Jeep Safari in Moab, Utah on April 12.
This isn’t going to be merely another upgrade from its predecessor as this Jeep Grand Cherokee has received some Hellcat blessings.
This new model is said to capable of churning out over 700 horsepower from its supercharged Hemi 6.2-liter V8 engine, found in the Dodge Challenger and Charger Hellcat. However, the Dodge models are capable of 707 horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque.
Many reports have stated that the Trackhawk will be able to record a top speed of about 200mph. Meanwhile, the model will be able to complete a 0 to 60mph in about three seconds.
The SUV is also reported to have a Track mode and it will most probably be a capable off-roader. That said, it looks like some folks aren’t buying these figures.
Some people are highly doubting that the 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee will be able to do 200mph when it’s profile looks like that. They feel that that figure is just too unrealistic for the model.
Well, it’s still early for us to conclude on that but do you think the Grand Cherokee Trackhawk will be able to record 200mph?
