2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk: Too Large To Be Fast?

Despite Dodge’s Demon hogging the spotlight during the New York Auto Show, Jeep still managed to create some waves with its all-new Grand Cherokee Trackhawk.

This model will be equipped with a supercharged V8 mill capable of churning out 707 horsepower and the company claims that the machine is able to hit 60mph in 3.5 seconds!

The Trackhawk comes with pretty much the similar powerplant as the Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat along with the HEMI and Hellcat badging.

With the help of a standard launch control system and a TorqueFlite eight-speed self-shifter, the Grand Cherokee Trackhawk is worthy of 645 lb-ft of torque from its 6.2L mill.

That’s not all – the Jeep is also said to complete a quarter mile in 11.6 seconds with a top speed of 180mph and it is strong enough to tow up to 7,200 pounds!

However, a look through Reddit threads reveals that some folks aren’t buying everything Jeep is saying about this model.

Some folks find it hard to believe that the 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee will be capable of hitting that top speed as the profile of the machine just doesn’t seem to match the 180mph
top speed.

Well, do you think hitting 180mph will be a tough feat for the 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk?
