The 2018 Jeep Wrangler was subjected to a series of modifications but the clay model shown below is one of the rejected designs of the model. Despite it being a rejected design, it still holds many elements that the automaker has incorporated into the latest model, for example the three-piece roof.
This is definitely not the final version but there are a whole lot of features that are pretty amazing. The automaker had maintained its circle-shaped headlights as well as the seven-slot grille with the addition of a contemporary curvy hood with a landscape latch.
However, the front fascia seems to be lacking in the LED running lights on its fenders, as spotted in some leaked photos online. Other changes include the windshield being pushed back in a bid to improve its aerodynamics while the back doesn’t look all that different from the existing model.
It almost looks like it has been inspired by the Renegade, especially with its three-piece removable hardtop. Based on info retrieved from JL Wrangler Forums, Jeep is said to be planning to bring on this feature as an option for buyers on the all-new Wrangler.
Well, nothing is certain for now, at least until January as the 2018 Jeep Wrangler will be making its official debut at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit, Michigan.
