Although the 2018 Honda Accord is still in hiding, we know that this sedan will be growing in size, just like the all-new Toyota Camry.
The 2018 US-spec Camry is coming with a significantly longer wheelbase, wider body and tracks, extended roof, as well as larger wheel arches.
According to Wheels, the model’s length has been increased by about 10mm to 4859mm. It’s width has received a 20mm increase, totaling up to 1839mm, while its wheelbase sits at 2824mm, following a 50mm increase. However, its height has reduced by 30mm to 1440mm.
Based on spy shots, it’s evident that the Honda Accord would be coming larger than its predecessors, too. AutoGuide reports that the new Accord will be underpinning a larger version of the Civic and the next-gen CR-V’s architecture. This platform will be similar to VW’s flexible MQB modular architecture.
Expect to see the all-new Honda Accord arriving some time near the end of this year with sales slated to begin around the mid of next year.
