The first of Volvo’s all-new crossover has just been kicked off the production line. This is a TS Inscription AWD model that comes in Crystal White.

The 2018 Volvo XC60 stands for about 30 percent of the automaker’s total international sales. If you weren’t aware, the original XC60 was the best-selling premium mid-sized SUV in Europe and it sold almost one million units all over the world.

The all-new XC60 rides on Volvo’s SPA platform and this is the model that made its official debut at the Geneva Motor Show. It was then that it showed of its top-notch T8 plug-in hybrid powertrain with 407 horsepower.

For the United States, the model comes with a base engine of a 2.0-liter four-cylinder T5 with 254 horsepower and those looking for a little more power can opt for the T6 model offering 320 horsepower.

Vice president of the Torslanda plant, Magnus Nilsson, stated that, “This is a proud day for everyone at the plant..We have worked hard in recent weeks and months to prepare Torslanda for this latest new Volvo model, and now we are ready to start delivering new XC60s to customers.”
