If you are a fan of huge trucks, Chevrolet has something for you. The automaker took the covers off their medium duty Silverado trucks and we were blown away.
Chevrolet unveiled the Silverado 4500HD, 5500HD and 6500HD. This will mark the first time GM has offered a medium duty truck since the Chevrolet Kodiak and GMC Topkick was removed from their lineup.
Everything about the truck is huge from the large grille in the front to the broad fenders. Powering the trucks will be a 6.6-liter Duramax turbocharged diesel V8 engine that will be offering about 350hp and 700lb ft of torque. This means it will be offering less than the 2500 and 3500 models. The engines will be mated to the Allison automatic transmission.
According to Chevrolet, the top of the frame rails are smooth and flat so fitting on the beds and cargo box should be easier now. The order guides will be released soon while the price will only be announced this summer.
