It does look like crossover is the way to go now. To increase their sales, it is believed that Mazda might be working on a new crossover model will be coming in 2021.

According to Mazda’s Ceo, the new Mazda CX-7 will not interfere with what they have with the Mazda CX-3, Mazda CX-5, and Mazda CX-9 now which means it will most likely come in as a replacement for the Mazda CX-7 which was discontinued by Mazda.

Mazda added that the new crossover will be built at their new Mazda factory that Mazda is building with Toyota right now. The new plant will be capable of build 150,000 vehicles per year. It is said that the vehicle will be built with America in mind.

Masamichi Kogai, CEO of Mazda commented that the new SUV is going to be “totally new” and “different” from the other SUV that Mazda has been offering. As exciting as that sound, we know nothing about the upcoming SUV right now so all we can do is wait.
