Acura made a few important announcement at the Detroit Auto Show this year. One of it was about adding the A-Spec option in their future models.

According to Acura, all-new Acura models will be getting an A-Spec in the future. They also added that the first model to get the option will be the TLX model which will be getting the option along with the 2.4 liters four-cylinder engine. The next model after the TLX will be the new RDX.

Besides talking about the A-Specs in the future, Acura also added that they will be reviving the Type-S moniker along with a new engine. The new engine will be a turbocharged V6 that Acura said will only be offered to Acura models and that it will only be used with their Super Handling All-Wheel Drive.

With all that we know now, it looks like Acura is looking to take the performance side more seriously now.
