Apple will soon cease the production of the 11-inch MacBook Air with its new lineup of MacBook that is expected to happen soon, according to a report from Japan.

This is quite a welcoming update to the MacBook line as it has long been in dire need of a refresh.

However, this discontinuation of the 11-inch MacBook Air is mainly due to the company wanting to shift focus to the 13-inch Air model.

In regards to the new lineup, they will not come with a standard USB-A ports so users will have to opt for a USB-C or Thunderbolt 3. Since the USB-C will become the charging method, MagSafe will not be protecting the MacBook charger cord.

Expect to see the new MacBook Pro, featuring Touch ID and new OLED touch panel, sometime this month.
