The final in-house designed BlackBerry, BlackBerry Mercury, will be officially revealed at the MWC 2017 in Barcelona next month.

This device is said to come with a physical QWERTY keyboard along with a fingerprint scanner, the first of such on a BlackBerry.

Steve Cistulli, TCL President and General Manager, posted a Tweet that said, “Bringing something distinctly different to #MWC2017 #BlackBerryMobile.” This was included with a GIF displaying a BlackBerry Mercury under spotlight.

Although we do not know what will be “distinctly different,” Phone Arena states that the device is said to be sporting a 4.5-inch screen with a 1080×1620 resolution.

Aside that, it is also rumored to be powered by the Snapdragon 625 with 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage. The cameras measure at 18MP for its rear-facing unit and 8MP for the selfie snapper. It is also said to be fitted with a 3,400mAh battery, providing users with up to two days of battery life.

There is still a whole lot of information kept under lock and key so we’ll just have to wait till the MWC 2017 takes place to know all there is to know about this latest ‘Berry.
