It looks like even BMW can’t escape the recall bug as they were forced to recall their BMW M5 after it was discovered that the vehicle has an issue with its fuel pump.
With the fuel pump malfunctioning, the vehicle won’t fire so this is an issue that BMW will have to address immediately. According to the reports, fixing this will involves updated the software in the engine control unit.
The recall will affect BMW M5 built from the 21st of August 2017 until the 17th of August 2018. Besides recalling their BMW M5, BMW will also be stopping the sale order to dealers.
The BMW M5 is not the only models that are being recalled. BMW also issue a recall for the 335d diesel sedans due to issues with the electrical power steering system. The fix will involve replacing the positive battery cable connector and securing it better.
Both these recalls will affect about 7500 units.
