Rumors about BMW working on a new M2 Competition has been going around for some time now. There were a few spy shots here and there and more details are coming out now.

According to Bimmerpost, the BMW M2 Competition will be coming in with a 3.0-liter single turbo six-cylinder S55 engine that will be offering about 405hp. The engine will be getting a few upgrades including stronger pistons, lightweight crankshaft and more. The engine will most likely be mated to a seven-speed M-DCT or a six-speed manual transmission.

The latest spy images also revealed that the vehicle will be getting a wider grille and larger front intakes. Fans will also be offered two new exterior colors, the Silver Hockenheim and Sunset Orange along with the four other M2 colors.

On the inside, we can expect to see Dakota Black leather with Kyalami Orange or Polar Blue stitching. According to the report, the vehicle could be making its debut at the Beijing Motor Show.
