The Samsung Galaxy S8 is the South Korean manufacturer’s next giant leap and it is slated to be officially announced this year. Some folks coin late February as the release date while some speculate that it could be pushed to April as a result of shortage of parts.
The Galaxy S8 is such a highly anticipated device that it has garnered so much speculations and now, we have the first picture of the new device, at least that’s what Weibo, China’s Twitter alternative is saying.
There is still no official confirmation that this could be the Samsung Galaxy S8 but it does look pretty convincing. It physical home button seems to have been removed which aligns with the rumor that Samsung will replace it with an ultra-sonic finger scanner built-in to the display.
However, the leaked picture also reveals that the capacitive on-screen navigation keys are missing. This hints that Samsung may have attempted to follow in iPhone’s footsteps by replacing them with gestures.
Well, these are speculations for now but if this turns out to be true, we’ll be seeing a nearly bezel-less Samsung Galaxy S8.
