The Dodge Challenger Demon made a loud debut at the last New York Auto Show as it became the most talked about vehicle in the world. This cannot be helped as the speed which the Challenger Demon has to offer has left the performance lovers in awe.
In case you have missed the unveiling, Dodge said that the Demon is made to sit above the Hellcat hence it brags way more power. The Challenger Demon relies on a more refined version of the Hemi-V8 which allows it to develop a whopping 840hp. This makes the Challenger Demon the world’s fastest accelerating car as it can sprint from 0-60mph in just 2.3 seconds.
Everything sounds great until we came across a statement that claims the numbers on the Demon are all wrong. The statement was made by an individual that has gotten an early access to the Challenger Demon and he revealed that the car is faster than what is indicated by Dodge.
In a sprint test, it was learned that the Challenger Demon can complete the run to 60mph in just 2.1 seconds rather than 2.3 seconds. This is a huge difference in speed and it got us thinking if Dodge underestimated the performance figures on purpose. What do you think?
