During the CES 2017, Google and a couple of other companies announced Daydream VR support for another four devices, further expanding the accessibility to virtual reality.
Now, the ZTE Axon 7, Huawei Mate 9 Pro, Porsche Design Mate 9 and the Asus ZenFone AR are included in the list of devices compatible with Daydream. Apparenly, Huawei is also working on its own version of the Daydream headset, expected to be released later this year.
That’s not all. Droid-Life also reports that the Asus ZenFone AR will be supporting Tango, Google’s augmented reality hardware/software platform, as well.
However, the Mate 9 Pro isn’t precisely a device for the US market. It hasn’t been made officially available but one can purchase it on Amazon for approximately $1,000.
On a side note, the Huawei device mentioned in this article is the Mate 9 Pro and not the standard Mate 9. The latter has a curved 5.5-inches QHD AMOLED display while the former has a 5.9-inches FHD LCD display.
