Seeing that the Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P are such popular devices, they had received more than adequate amount of coverage on various websites. So, it seems pretty obvious that folks should know almost everything about these devices by now, however, that isn’t the case.

There’s one thing that Google has been withholding and it doesn’t look like the search engine giant would be revealing it anytime soon. It’s quite annoying how Google refuses to reveal the Nexus 5X and the Nexus 6P’s sales figures.

Sales figures are usually a vital determinant of how well a device doing in the market and how it compares to devices in its segment. But Google is adamant with its decision of keeping Nexus sales figures hidden.

This begun with the Nexus 5 as Google wanted the Android community to view these devices as nothing but reference devices. Reference devices are merely hardware platforms for companies to display their latest Android programs and software.

However, if you look at the Nexus 6P’s Snapdragon 810 with 3GB RAM and 3450 mAh batteries, it seems hard to believe that it’s only a reference device.

Besides, the general public is also curious to see how the Nexus 6P is faring up against brands such as Samsung, Sony, HTC as well as Apple in the market, especially since it’s well-known despite having zero carrier support.
