On April 23, what is arguably the biggest event in television is making a return for its sixth season, and fans are equally pumped and curious to see what direction the showrunners at HBO would take now that the series has gone ahead of the books on which it is based.
Apparently the first step they’re going to take is right from where the show left off at the end of season five – Jon Snow. If you’re afraid of spoilers, then stop reading; or continue, it doesn’t really matter.
Anyway, the first episode is called “The Red Woman” which obviously means that the story will focus more on Melisandre who also goes by The Red Woman, and more importantly the topic of Jon Snow’s revival.
Those who are on the Internet often enough should know that Jon Snow got killed at the end of last season. Plenty of folks have speculated that Melisandre – who is at Castle Black – will revive its Lord Commander, but like the Arya-to-Braavos story, we might only find out at the end of the season.
The full trailer for the season suggested that Ser Davos is going to take on the mutineers responsible for the demise of Jon Snow. He might die, he might prevail – who knows, it’s Game of Thrones, but since he has no king to fight for anymore a good guess is that season six could be his last.
