Google’s Pixel featured some of the most cutting-edge specs ever seen on an Android device. On top of that, it’s wrapped in a gorgeous all-glass and aluminum design – ripped right off the Apple’s iPhone 6.
There’s simply no way to refute this; remove the glass panel on the top and you’ll see for yourself that it’s basically an iPhone. And now, it looks like the upcoming Pixel 2 and Pixel XL 2 will be carrying on this trend.
According to a report by 9to5Google, Google wants to forego the 3.5mm headphone jack in the second-gen Pixel devices. The report states that this has been revealed in internal documents and that “the language used presents the removal of the jack as a matter of fact.”
It’s obvious that Google is trying to be successful using Apple’s iPhone formula. As a result, the Pixel 2 losing its headphone jack akin the iPhone 7 is unsurprising and it looks like there’s no stopping Google from moving further away from all that made its previous Nexus series popular.
