We got to see the new Yuntu Concept from Jeep last year at the Shanghai Auto Show. At the time, we knew that the vehicle was eventually going to become a production model for China but nobody knew if Jeep was going to keep the name Yuntu or not.
Well, based on the latest leak, it looks like the Yuntu will actually be called the Jeep Grand Commander when it arrives. Some people were speculating that Jeep might bring back some of the older names like the Grand Wagoneer but was not what Jeep had in mind.
The Jeep Grand Commander will most likely be making an appearance at the Beijing Auto Show in April this year where more details will be released. Right now, we know that the Jeep will be powered by a 2.0-liter turbo engine that will be offering 234hp and 265hp. The vehicle will be 16ft long and will come in as a seven-seater.
No word on whether Jeep plans to offer the Jeep Grand Commander outside of China.
