We knew from the start that the new Pokemon games Let’s Go Pikachu and Eevee will have online play but what we did not know was whether the online feature is free or not.
Well, it is not. The Pokemon Company confirm that to play the online features, players will have to be subscribed to the Nintendo Switch Online which means they will have to pay for it if they don’t have one already.
Players looking to battle and trade online will have to subscribe to the Nintendo service. The new paid online service will arrive in September and it will be $4 for a month, $8 for three months and $20 for 12 months. Players can also choose to have the $35 family plan option which will allow 8 users to share one membership.
Both Let’s Go Pikachu and Let’s Go Eevee will be released on the 16th of November on Switch. The game can also be integrated with PPokemon Go app and transfer their Pokemon from the app to the Switch game.
