LG has allegedly confirmed that it would be presenting the G6 at the Mobile World Expo in Barcelona, based on a new report from Korea. If this report turns out to be true, there could be a possibility that the LG G6 will be arriving sooner than the Galaxy S8.
According to Phone Arena, the report states that the LG G6 will be unveiled on February 26, just a day prior to the start of MWC, and it will be launched on March 10. Well, that’s the release date for Korea but we’re sure a global launch won’t be too far behind.
The LG G5 was launched on March 31 last year whereas the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge arrived on March 11. It appears that LG is trying to make the most out of the speculated delayed launch schedule for the Galaxy S8 by announcing the G6 earlier.
As a result of grueling tests to ensure its quality following the Note 7 debacle, the Samsung Galaxy S8 may only be coming sometime in April. This will be giving LG plenty of time to attract buyers before its main rival arrives.
