NES Classic Edition: Why Settle For Less?

Those who were lucky enough to nab a NES Classic during the holiday period would be thrilled to find out that you just may be able to get more NES games.

Hackers have find out a way to bring in extra titles to the NES Classics without needing to open up the miniature console recreation. But, before you do this, know that you’ll risk bricking your NES Classic if something goes wrong.

According to Ars Technica, hackers in Japan and Russia have, separately, find out a way to bring in more games by connecting the NES Classic to a computer via a micro-USB cable.

However, there is some problems to this. For one, you’ll have to own the original NES games and possess the hardware and software to upload the ROMs from them as there is no easy and legal ways to get them.

A video posted by ARCADERU shows that this hack would allow you to get titles such as Mega Man, Darkwing Duck, Battletoads, Bucky O’Hare, as well as other.

Apparently, the hackers state that you could get an extra 30 titles to the NES Classic and the video stands as evidence. But, since it’s public now, we’re sure that it won’t take long before Nintendo figures out a way to block this hack.

Maybe Nintendo should provide an official update to the NES Classic that permits gamers to legally purchase the extra titles, seeing that’s what the gamers want.

Well, what titles would you like to be added to the NES Classic?
