The official debut of the Switch is coming closer and we are excited to find out everything there is to know about the next-gen gaming system from Nintendo. We can expect to hear Nintendo talking about its features as well as the price of the gaming system during the unveil.
It seems that it is the price that has been boggling the minds of fans as it is simply that hard to predict. Well, that was the case until last week when a major retailer opened up its pre-orders for the Switch at the price of $198.50. This pre-order started the speculations that the Switch will be selling at $199 when it is released.
However, thanks to Nikkei, a credible source, the rumors have been shut down as the report states that the Switch will retail at $215. Despite the official pricing still remaining unannounced, these sources cite that the Switch will not be setting buyers further than $250.
If this turns out to be true, the Switch could end up beating both the PS4 and Xbox One when it comes to pricing. This would definitely give the Wii U replacement that extra edge in terms of sales.
