Today, Artificial Intelligence (AI) assistants are a common thing. Apple developed Siri, Google made Now, Microsoft produced Cortana, Samsung bought Bixbi and even Meizu was not one to miss out on this AI assistant hype.
Now, Nokia has jumped on the bandwagon of this trend, according to GSM Arena, and it will be developing an AI assistant that answers to the name “Viki.”
Nokia Solutions and Networks, not to be confused with HMD, had filed for an EU trademark that read, “Software for the creation and monitoring of mobile and web digital assistants working with knowledge and combining all data sources into a single chat and voice based interface.”
Seeing that Nokia’s first Android phone is already a reality, we’re eager to find out exactly how and when will Viki be making its way into devices.
We also can’t help but wonder if the Nokia 6 will be missing out on this AI assistant or will it get Viki via a software update?
Well, what do you think?
