OnePlus had previously given their word that both its flagship devices, the OnePlus 3 and the 3T, will be upgraded to Android 7.0 Nougat prior to 2017. The Chinese manufacturer also revealed that the first beta build would be coming to the One Plus 3 in November.

The OnePlus 3T will be sitting out of this beta program, leaving only owners of OnePlus 3 to experience the Nougat beta build, which is expected to be arriving soon.

The Android 7.0 Nougat beta for OnePlus 3 will be bringing a couple of new features to the device such as new notification designs and a brand new settings menu design. There would also be support for multi-window view as well as notification direct reply and custom DPI support.

Besides that, it will include new status bar options and quick launch for third-party applications. There would also be significant improvements to shelf customization.

This beta 8 build will not be coming via OTA, thus users will need to manually download it.
