Unless you have been living under the rock, you would know just how big Pokémon is and it doesn’t seem to be slowing down in its tracks anytime soon.

According to Media Create Sales, almost 1.6 million copies of Pokémon Sun and Moon have been sold in Japan, thus far. This is more than 10 times the copies of the second best selling game this week, which is none other than the Pokémon Sun and Moon Double Pack with a total of 150,000 sales.

It’s no doubt that it is the Pokémon craze that is driving the increase of New Nintendo 3DS XL sales in Japan. From 20,000 last week, it is now standing at 81,000 sales this week. That’s not all – all versions of the 3DS saw an increase as well.

In 2013, Pokémon X & Y was said to have secured over two million of sales in the first week itself while getting more than twice the amount of the week before’s 3DS sales.
