The good news for Android fans is that just after receiving Android 6.0 and 6.0.1 Marshmallow, Android 7.0 is not too far away. On top of the power-saving functions currently enjoyed, there will be more convenient features to be gotten.
The sad news is only confined to users of the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 and S6 Edge+ who have been not-so-patiently waiting for their devices to be updated Marshmallow.
Yet another roadmap has been leaked and this time Phone Arena got a hold of it. Dated on February 29, what looks like the latest info on the updates shows that Note 5 and S6 Edge+ are due for Marshmallow this month under the status of ‘testing’.
The Galaxy S6/Edge are also scheduled for March but under the status of uploading, which we presume means that the seeding is currently happening. If this roadmap proves to be another red herring, then there is a chance Android 7.0 is revealed before the update reaches the 2015 flagships devices, which is an unfortunate outcome for a brand as large and esteemed as Samsung.
