This latest version is the better version as it includes the comprehensive emoji set straight from the Pixel duo, direct access to GIFs via the keyboard on Google’s messaging apps along with app shortcuts that permit swift actions on apps through long-pressing their icons.

Well, if you are one who is concerned with whether Google would be proactive enough in bringing this latest version to your Galaxy S6 device, you could always opt for custom ROMs, such as LineageOS 14.1, to give you the needed push on the Android hierarchy.
