The Samsung Galaxy S6 is a great device – that is if you look past its battery issues. It’s hard to deny that this device comes with a whole lot of impressive features; but, is it impressive enough to beat its rivals, the HTC One M9 and Sony Xperia Z3?
When the Galaxy S6 is put against the HTC One M9, the Samsung device stands out with its colored glass front and rear along with a metal frame, adding a modern look to it. That said, the One M9 is still exquisite looking despite coming with the same unibody milled aluminium case that the M8 had.
The HTC’s Snapdragon 810 processor is fast but it still can’t match up to the Galaxy S6’s 14nm octa-core Exynos 7420 SoC. The Samsung device even beats when it comes to battery life, even though it has a smaller battery.
However, the One M9 comes with a microSD slot along with the front-facing BoonSound stereo speakers, which gives it an edge over the Galaxy S6.
Samsung Takes On Sony
Sony’s Xperia Z3 is equipped with the Snapdragon 801 which makes it nowhere near as fast as the Galaxy S6’s processor. And, its camera also falls short next to the Samsung device but the 20.7MP camera is still capable of producing decent shots and it can shoot 4K video.
The Xperia Z3 may not be as good as the Galaxy S6 but it manages to surpass the latter with its water and dust resistant features. Aside that, it also has a microSD slot which the Galaxy S6 sorely lacks.
The Sony device’s edge is its battery life as this is a device that is capable of lasting up to a day and a half! On top of that, it comes with a much cheaper price tag compared to the Galaxy S6.
Well, judging from these, we can safely say that although the Samsung Galaxy S6 isn’t perfect, it still manages to one up the HTC One M9 as well as the Sony Xperia Z3.
