For years already, fans of small screen smartphones have been waiting for the Samsung Mini to make a return. This cannot be helped as the Galaxy S Mini has always offered the best hardwares in a small package.
The rumors are actively claiming that the latest S8 will get a Mini variant but until Samsung confirms on it, we can’t be confident. While the absence of the Mini may have left a void in the small-display market, it is still not the end of it all.
Today, it was confirmed that Sony is working on a high-powered small-display smartphone called the XZ1 Compact. The specs sheet was allegedly leaked today and it confirms that the device will run on a Snapdragon 835 SoC, and will sport a 4.6-inch HD display. RAM will be 4GB and there will also be a 2,800mAh battery that can keep the phone going for hours.
This is just the phone which small-display fans have been wanting and they can expect it to come out later in the summer of this year.
