Microsoft will unveil the Xbox One Scorpio this year and the console will be launched late this year, during the Holiday period. The console boasts 4K capabilities and it looks like Skyrim and Fallout 4 have been confirmed for it.

Todd Howard, the director and executive producer at Bethesda, revealed to Glixel that Skyrim and Fallout 4 will be patched to Xbox One Scorpio.

“We just wrapped up updating Fallout 4 for the PS4 Pro. We’re used to that in the PC world. We can update the games, and people keep playing it. Microsoft’s Scorpio is coming next year, and we’ll update Fallout 4 and Skyrim for that. That’s our hope, that these consoles keep that spirit going forward,” clarified Howard.

Aside that, Warner Bros has also confirmed that Shadow of War will be coming to the the console when it launches. Plus, seeing that Shadow of War is also a Play Anywhere title, you would be able to buy it for PC via the Microsoft Store and play it on the Xbox One.

The Xbox One Scorpio may be unveiled at this year’s E3; so, keep your eyes and ears open for it!

I’m thinking a new 4K Grand Theft Auto game would be the killer app that will sell a lot of Scorpios. Anybody that wants to play Fallout 4 has already bought one — I have the PC version myself.
