It’s becoming so clear that Volkswagen is desperate to move past its messy dieselgate scandal as the company is said to be venturing down the all-electric vehicles route. VW is aiming to integrate self-driving feature into all of its I.D. production models.
Volkswagen is planning on debuting its I.D. crossover concept at the upcoming 2017 Shanghai Motor Show that will commence on April 21 and close on April 28, 2017.
Prior to that, the German company had unleashed a couple of teaser images for the soon-to-arrive concept. This concept is said to come with an all-wheel drive setup along with autonomous driving features.
Volkswagen’s first ever all-electric crossover will be strutting around looking very coupe-like and it will be the third edition of the I.D concept from the company – following the one debuted at the 2016 Paris Motor Show and the one at the I.D. Buzz in Detroit.
Although, aside from the tease images, not much is known about the model, we can expect to see it coming with an array of laser scanners, ultrasonic and radar sensors along with cameras placed at specific positions to help the electric model make sense of its environment.
