The Chevy Bolt isn’t the only one who had nabbed the Green Car of the Year award. The Volvo XC90 has been voted as the Green Car of the Year at the 2016 Professional Driver Car of the Year Awards.
This award show is centered around the best models among taxi, chauffeur and private hire vehicles. In order to nab this award, vehicles have to record a C02 emissions of 70g/km or lower.
The Volvo XC90 fell way below that mark with its 49g/km, so it isn’t all that surprising when it took the crown. This vehicle can go for 27 miles with zero emissions with a combined fuel economy of 134.5mpg.
On top of its luxurious interior, it also comes with Android Auto support and Apple CarPlay. Besides that, it is loaded with safety features including the Pilot Assist semi-autonomous driving system.
Although it won in the category for professionals, the Volvo XC90 is still a great car for regular, non-professional, users.
