Nexus 6P has only been in the market for about a year now but Google has been cutting off support in favor of its new Pixel devices. Nexus 6P’s future looks bleak as Google slows down the updates to the device.

Although it’s undeniable that the Pixel devices are a giant step ahead for the tech giant as it foregoes its Nexus brand, it just doesn’t seem right for Google to completely abandon the Nexus 6P.

This started when Google had released the Android 7.0 Nougat update which did not find its way to the Nexus 6P device on the day of the launch. After that, it released the Daydream VR. Despite it being developed via the Nexus 6P, the device has yet to receive Daydream-ready status.

Many users have given up on the device but it looks like there is another device in the market that comes as close as the Nexus 6P.

We’re talking about the ZTE Axon 7 which comes with great hardware and would be updated to Nougat soon. On top of that, this device has already been Daydream-ready way before Pixel devices were even released.

The ZTE Axon 7, measuring almost the same size as the Nexus 6P, is truly the next best thing after the Nexus 6P.
