The never-ending rivalry between the Chevrolet Camaro and Ford Mustang has escalated recently as each has sought to provide more for buyers of the performance models.

Prior to this it was only available with the V8 SS model, but Chevrolet has now made the 1LE package an option for the Camaro V6 as well.

More than that, the GM brand also took a swipe at the Mustang GT350 through saying that the Camaro SS 1LE is definitely better than the Shelby in terms of performance.

As a response, Ford is providing more for the GT350 by absorbing all the features from the Track package into the two-door performance model, meaning that the only add-on options are now the Convenience package and Electronics package.

The standard features on the Mustang GT350 have as a result increased with the addition of a deck lid spoiler, more color choices on top of MagneRide dampers. This may not be good news to actual enthusiasts who take the Mustang Shelby to the tracks but for posers, this rivalry is a generous one, though we suspect that both Chevrolet and Ford won’t be so generous in pricing.

36% of 2015 Mustang purchasers were women, and they almost all chose the 2.3 ecoboost 4-banger. Are the V8s only for men? Actually, the “base” models have better handling because they are lighter in the front ends. There is more to the Mustang and the Camaro than the top models.
