Priced at a minimum of $51,300, the 2017 Infiniti Q60 Red Sport 400 looks to be a real treat. It’s significantly cheaper than the BMW M3 or M4, is as affordable as an Audi S5, and delivers an impressive 400hp with 350lb-ft torque from a 3.0L twin-turbo V6.

Infiniti has not offered more power on a sports coupe before, which makes the high-output version of the Q60 a mark of progress for the premium automaker.

However, buyers remain unconvinced about the vehicle, slating it for lacking the sort of luxury offered by equivalent models from BMW or Mercedes.

The Q60 Red Sport 400 may have leather sports seats and 19-inch alloy wheels, but its unrefined ride and heavy build (4,000lbs) have attracted lots of criticisms. It doesn’t even have Android Auto or Apple CarPlay support or the sort of tech that can rival the likes of Audi.

While 400hp may be the most the Q60 has ever offered, the Ford Mustang GT which is almost $20,000 cheaper delivers 435hp. Plus the Dearborn muscle comes with Apple CarPlay integration.
