Reportedly arriving as the last model in the C7 generation, the 2018 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 has been spotted in the wild wearing on its tail a massive rear wing, based on several blurry spy shots of the upcoming vehicle.
With a wing that’s large enough to make the Dodge Viper ACR blush, there’s plenty of downforce promised for the track-bred monster, presumably accompanied by aero-focused elements on its front bumper.
Although this model that concludes the Corvette C7 isn’t as exciting as the mid-engine C8, it looks like there’s a lot to be gotten out of it.
The ZR1 is speculated to be worth more than 700hp, considerably more than the Z06 at 650hp and previous ZR1 at 638hp, aided by a lighter construct to be zippier and quicker than its predecessor as well as the present Z06 model.
Plus its giant spoiler, although unsightly for some, clearly serves a more functional than ornamental purpose for fun on track days. The ZR1 also contends against the Porsche 911 GT3 RS and Ferrari 458 Italia.
