Last week, some reports claim that the upcoming 2018 Jeep Wrangler might be coming in with a 2.0 liter inline four engine that would make the Wrangler a pretty potent vehicle but it looks like that won’t be happening.

With the engine, the Jeep Wrangler would be offering about 368hp but according to some new reports this week, the rumor is not true and that the documentation discovered was not accurate at all.

A lot of fans were also skeptical when the news first came out as it feels like Jeep won’t want to make a Wrangler that has 80hp more than their biggest V6 model. It was also confirmed that the 2018 Jeep Wrangler four-cylinder model will come with an automatic transmission only.

Those looking to get the Wrangler with a manual transmission will have to go for the V6 model.

The 2018 Jeep Wrangler is expected to make its debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show.
