Not many vehicles could actually score a Top Safety Pick + rating from IIHS but that was not an issue for the 2019 Audi Q3.

This is a huge upgrade for the model since it did not event get a Top Safety Pick the last time due to its headlights getting a Poor rating from IIHS. It was also penalize for the lack of forward collision warning or preventive system. With the 2019 model, Audi managed to get a Good rating for all the crash tests and was given some standard forward collision prevention system. The headlights also scored a Good rating but only for those trims above the base trim.

The Audi A7, on the other hand, was not given the Top Safety Pick + rating but it did manage to score a Top Safety Pick rating as it was given a Good rating for all its crash test but was only given an Acceptable for its headlights on the Premium Plus trim model, the base trim headlights were rated as Marginal.

Other sedans that did get a Top Safety Pick + rating from IIHS include the BMW 5 Series, Audi A6, Mercedes-Benz E-Class, and the Genesis sedans.
