The production fo the 2019 Honda Insight has launched. The 2019 model will be built at their plant in Greensburg, Indiana.

To make sure the plants were capable of building their all-new hybrid model, Honda has invested about $61.5 million into the plant and three others in Ohio. With the launch of the production, the Indiana plant will be building the Insight alongside the Honda Civic and Honda CR-V.

Greensburg will not be the only plant working on the Honda Insight as the three plants in Ohio will also be building the twin electric motor unit while the Marysville plant will assemble the battery pack. The engine will be built in Anna Ohio.

The Hybrid model will come in with a hybrid engine that will be offering about 151hp and 197 lb-ft of torque. The EPA numbers are not out yet but it is estimated that the vehicle would be able to offer about 55mpg in the city.
