While we will still have to wait until Detroit to learn more about the 2019 Honda Insight Hybrid, Honda is generous enough to give us a little more detail while we wait for the show happening at the end of this month.

According to Honda, the 2019 Honda Insight Hybrid will be powered by a 1.5 liter Atkinson cycle engine that will be paired with an electric motor. They did not reveal the performance of the engine or the fuel efficiency numbers so we will still have to wait for that.

What we know that the Honda Insight will now come with Honda Sensing safety tech which will include safety features like lane departure warning, road departure mitigation, automatic emergency braking, traffic sign recognition, and adaptive cruise control. The Honda LaneWatch will also be offered all models above the EX trim.

Other upgrades that we can expect to see is the new grille and LED lights on the outside and an 8-inch touchscreen on the inside. The Insight will also be getting the Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support.
