It looks like the Honda Pilot is not the only Honda model that was given a high safety rating by IIHS as it was revealed that the 2019 Honda Passport was also given a Top Safety Pick rating by IIHS.
Since the Passport is based on the Pilot, it does not come as a surprise that the Passport would also get a similar safety rating. The vehicle was given a Good rating for all the crash test other than the passenger-side small overlap crash which was only given an Acceptable rating. The vehicle’s headlights also failed to impress as many of the models out there as it was only given an Acceptable rating for those as well.
The Passport which will come with the forward collision prevention technology as standard was given a Superior rating as it managed to stop the vehicle at the speeds of 12mph.
With this, the Passport will join the other crossover including the Hyundai Santa Fe XL, Jeep Cherokee, Kia Telluride and more that were also given the Top Safety Pick rating.
